Kenzo et Ridwan ...

Mischief in the making? You can see it coming, can't you?

Le Pere Mollet

Boulangerie Pâtisserie
Le Père Mollet
51, route de Rennes
35600 Redon

Everyone seems to have there own favourite boulangerie, I like the shop at the top of the hill in Guipry, next to the PMU, Paul passes here on the way home from work so buys our bread then, but my favourite shop is in Redon, Le Père Mollet, its a superb award winning, traditional boulangerie, heading into Redon, pass Lidl on your left to the double island take the third turning off the island, its just on the right between Credit Agricole and ED.

You can visit the website for Le Pere Mollet here leperemollet.com

Been busy

I've got a few things to post over the next few days, but I've been very busy with Dan and Vero moving back in with us for a few months, Dan and Vero are having a new house built and as the new house progresses they are paying more and more, as well as paying the rent for the house they were living in. So Dan, Vero, 3 dogs and 2 cats are now in our tiny little house along with Paul and I our 2 dogs and 3 cats, going to be a fun few months.

Watching the events in Japan, with a mix of horror and fascination, our hearts go out to those affected by the disaster we have witnessed.

A Visitor

We just had a visit from Rob, he owns a piece of land just up the road from us, he bought our mobile home and has this set up on his land, now Rob lives in England and will move to France soon, he is of retirement age but hasn't got round to retiring. Rob has had a bike stored in his barn for a while but has had difficulty getting it registered in France.
Its a year 2000 Royal Enfield Bullet 500, now I wont bore you with the history of Royal Enfield other than to say it was an English manufacturer that also operated in India, although the Royal Enfield Brand ended in the 70's in the UK, they are still built in India and exported all over the world with a big market in the UK and USA.

Whats on again,

Edit; This post is wrong, but I wont delete I will make another later.

I found the guide in the last post because I was looking for a poster for the "festival du film Britannique" thats English language films being shown at the cinema Manival in Redon, it seems that its happening in other areas of Brittany as well as the poster I found was for Dinard 2010, I will post later what's happening where later.

Its so annoying, there's some really good posters from different years, I may post a few later, but can't find the 2011 one, guess I will have to go and get one myself.

Whats on

A excellent guide to whats on in Ille et Vilaine

In Redon

The Valley of Misery, where the unemployed would gather to try to get work at the port.
Rue de Enfer, The road to hell, my son used to live here just through those red doors.
The only thing that keeps this building up is its neighbours.
