But if you don't pay the rent on your plot they will dig you back up.
EDIT: When you buy a plot in France it is for 15,20,30 or 50 years and you pay in advance before you die. Your relations then take on the "rental" if they wish or the caveaux can be exhumed, depends on the commune and their rules.

But what does one DO with a 50-year old pile of bones, I wonder? Which is where the old 'Ossuaire' attached to the Church came in, I suppose.

I kinda like the idea of becoming part of a chandelier, after death, myself.
