If it is at all possible get a witness who was either standing at the roadside, driving behind you or coming towards you. They must be willing to testify and he/she must be acceptable by both parties. The name of the witness MUST be entered in section 5 of the ‘Constat’ otherwise they will not be recognised later.

How to fill the form out.

If you have an accident, the first thing you need to do is fill out – in English if your French is not up to it - the accident report form. You need to give your insurance details and details of the accident – this does not apportion blame, just give the facts. The constat amiable d'accident must then be signed by both yourself and the other party involved. Both parties send their copy back to their respective insurer to establish responsibility. If you do not understand what has been written by the other party do not sign the form as anything signed is taken as evidence.

New babies at Half Acre

As this is the lone survivor from 17 babies born 5 weeks ago and today I had to kill a new born that had got trodden on, I think by a goose, all the new babies and there mothers have been moved to a pen along with the baby ducks and Norman the poorly cockerel.

Bantam chickens are small, but when fully grown, one will make two good size chicken burgers.

These ones I moved.

These ones had already found there way into the pen.

Festival Photo La Gacilly

As promised I've had a stroll around La Gacilly and took plenty of photographs, mainly of photographs, La Gacilly is an artists village that holds plenty of festivals throughout the year and attracts many tourists. The Festival Photo La Gacilly is a yearly event and lasts from early June till Late September, the photographs being taken down tells us locals that winter is on its way. Rosies Flat bread

Ingredients
125g self raising flour
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons of good quality olive oil
enough natural yoghurt (200g)make a firm but loose dough
dash milk
3 tablespoons chopped fresh mint or Chives

Make a dough and flatten it out to fit a large frying pan and cook slowly over low flame, about 4 mins on both sides.
