The Great Escape

Re-reading "Under The Wire" by William Ash,

Bill Ash is one of a rare breed. In 1940, he sacrificed his American citizenship to join in the fight against Hitler. He became a fighter pilot, came to Britain and flew Spitfires in combat, the film "The Great Escape" is based on his experiences as a POW.
